Male Impotence

This current day and age finds Cialis rapidly becoming a widely prescribed medication to help men with certain types of male impotence. Cialis is used to treat male impotence by blocking an enzyme called phosphodiesterase-PDE5. Cialis, together with sexual stimulation, assists in increasing blood flow to the penis, thereby allowing a man to achieve and sustain an erection.

It is important to not and remember that Cialis does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases. With that said, there remain a small number of people who mistakenly believe that medications like Cialis actually do have the effect of protecting a person against such diseases as HIV, hepatitis, gonorrhea and syphilis. The best protection against these diseases for a sexually active person is the use of a latex condom.

Taken by mouth, Cialis is used as needed and at least thirty minutes prior to the initiation of sexual activity. The medication can be taken with or without food as is desired. Cialis should never be taken more than one time in a twenty-four hour period. It is important to follow the dosage directions associated with this or any other prescription medication.

One of the major benefits of Cialis is that its effects on sexual ability remain in place for a period of up to thirty-six hours. In other words, Cialis does provide a man with some flexibility in regard to the initiation of sexual activity that is not necessarily found in other medications designed to aid in resolving male impotence. (Once again, you do need to keep in mind that because of the extended effects of this medication, it should not be taken more than one time in a twenty-four hour period.)

When taking Cialis it is important to note that you should refrain from eating grapefruit while on the medication and you should refrain from drinking grapefruit juice as well. The entry of grapefruit into your system while on Cialis can effect the action of the medication in your system, causing complications.

While using Cialis, there are certain medications that you should not use. Your physician and pharmacist can provide you detailed information in this regard. It is important that you follow these directions from these healthcare professionals because mixing certain medications with Cialis can have serious consequences.

As with any other prescription medication, there are some side effects associated with the use of Cialis. These include: headache, stomach upset, back pain, muscle pain, nasal stuffiness, flushing, pain in arms or legs, dizziness, or vision changes may occur. In very rare instances, a man can experience a total loss of sight from the use of Cialis. You need to consult with your doctor to find out more about the side effects and risks associated with the use of Cialis. Generally speaking, the side effects associated with Cialis are mild for most men.

Try revolutionary Generic Cialis Soft Tabs (Tadalafil) which many swear by. Another possible alternative for Tadalafil Citrate will be this India Pharmacy site where they seem to hae some decent prices on quality generic medications.
